New main character Hilary Tachibana joins the cast as the season adopts a simpler art style and CG-animated Beybattles. Storyline

The second season of the Original Series, set one year after Beyblade, reunites the Bladebreakers against two new teams: the Saint Shields, who want to reseal the bit-beasts to prevent a disaster from repeating, and Team Psykick, a corporation stealing bit-beasts via engineered 'Cyber Bit-Beasts.' New main character Hilary Tachibana joins the cast as the season adopts a simpler art style and CG-animated Beybattles. The plot culminates when villain Dr. Zagart, seeking to turn his android son Zeo into a real human using four sacred bit-beasts, is defeated by Tyson at the World Championships. Retitled for the West since it aired after 2002, it drew a mixed reception, partly for its art-style and directorial changes.
