Description

Tyson's second-generation magnet blade, built after the Bladebreakers learn what the ancient rock can do. Dragoon V2 is faster and far harder to steer than its predecessor, and several episodes are spent with Tyson simply learning not to be thrown by it. Once tamed it becomes the blade of the V-Force endgame, standing up to Zeo's Cerberus in the World Championship final and holding the line while Max and Ray's bit-beasts are taken.

Dragoon V2 carried Tyson Granger through V-Force as his fifth Beyblade, developing out of Dragoon V and later stepping up into both Dragoon V2 High Power Custom and Dragoon G. Its build runs a Dragoon Bit Chip, the thick, four-headed Spike Dragon Attack Ring, a Magne Weight Disk, Reverse Attack support parts, a Neo Left Spin Gear with a hollow, lightweight core, and Customize Grip Base, a tall blade base whose removable rubber tip hides a magnet for use with the Magnacore System.

Parts in detail

Standard/original release pairing the Spike Dragon Attack Ring, Magne Weight Disk, Neo Left Spin Gear with Normal Core, Reverse Attack Support Parts, and Customize Grip Base with its own tip. Spawned several follow-ups: a Hasbro 'BBA Championship' version swapping in Ten Wide for the Weight Disk, a Takara 'Fire Blood' red recolor bundling a bonus South Magnecore, and remote-control reissues including a Three Kingdoms 'Guan Yu' RC version.

SlotPartWeightSpinNote
Attack Ring Spike Dragon 4.9 g Left & Right (asymmetric) Flat, vertically-ridged contact points nominally built for Spike Attack contribute little to it. Left Spin manages fairly strong Smash but suffers badly from rotational recoil; Right Spin's rearmost points give only weak Smash with the same recoil issue.
Weight Disk Magne Weight Disk 14.3 (Mold 1) / 14.8 (Mold 2, slightly heavier) g A light disk with weight spread evenly over a wide area, giving unspecialized performance. Its magnetic gimmick barely helps in battle and can even hinder survival slightly by interfering with the combo's bearing; the soft outer shell absorbs hits better than a rigid disk but still trails Wide Defense and Wide Survivor.
Spin Gear Neo Left Spin Gear Shells (Spin Gear Shells) 1.2 each (2.4 total) g Left Preferred over regular Left Spin Gear Shells for compatibility with every SG-compatible base, including Neo SG Cores, the Heavy Metal Core, and the Double Bearing Core needed for left-spin Zombie/Defensive Zombie builds.
Spin Gear Normal Core (Spin Gear Core) 1.2 g The lightest core usable across bases that don't require a gimmicked Spin Gear, though slightly heavier Metal Weight or Magne cores are usually preferred for recoil control. Its main niche is being the only compatible core for zombie builds on the rare Customize Metal Sharp Base.
Support Part Reverse Attack 0.88 g The best of the ordinary two-part Support Parts in Attack mode (aside from Upper Attack in some situations), though still weaker than one-piece options; in Defense mode it's outclassed overall but edges out other two-part SPs on LAD and recoil.
Blade Base Customize Grip Base (CGB) 5.1 g A hugely versatile base with strong LAD, good weight, and access to a wide range of shafts and tips, considered a staple competitive part. Must be used with a tip or shaft installed.
Other Customize Grip Base Tip (Tip) 1.8 g A fairly hard rubber tip whose magnet adds weight and slows it slightly, suiting Force Smash builds. Its wide profile gives good speed and reasonable recoil control though rounded edges make it prone to skipping the tornado ridge, while the rubber's hardness gives it unusually solid Attack-tip stamina.

Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.

In play and in the story

Spike Dragon hits hard enough in the left spin to serve as a one-hit-kill attack ring, though the flat contact faces that give it power also cause heavy recoil, keeping it a niche rather than dominant choice in plastic-generation attack play. Customize Grip Base earns wider praise: it is one of only two bases able to combine support parts with a heavy metal core and a rubber tip, and competitive players lean on it heavily for both aggressive smash-attack builds and grip-based defensive combinations built around Wolborg 2's bearing shaft.
