Description
Max's magnet-core defender for V-Force, received when the team reunites. The magnetic core lets Draciel V plant itself even in Psykick's rigged stadiums, and the Viper Wall raises a spinning barrier of water that turns attacks back on the attacker. It is the blade of Max's jungle win over Chameleon, his marathon Battle Tower fight with Jim's Cyber Draciel, and the developing rivalry with Mariam of the Saint Shields, whose Sharkrash finally takes Draciel away before the blade is recovered.
Draciel V was Max's fourth Beyblade, following Draciel F and giving way to Draciel V2, and it brought the Magnacore System into the line. Its Ten Spike attack ring packs ten uneven flat protrusions into a star shape, while its Viper Metal Ball blade base fixes its metal balls permanently in the shaft and adds a magnetic rod that only accepts Spin Gears from the V and V2 series. Takara Tomy also issued it through an Ito Yokado exclusive white version, a light blue Random Booster 12 pull and a gold-plated edition.

Parts in detail
No further release-history detail is documented beyond the full-name alias and its relationship to the Hasbro BBA Championship version, which removes the North Magnecore included here.
| Slot | Part | Weight | Spin | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Attack Ring | Ten Spike | 4.1 g | Both (poor in both) | A five-sided design that clashes with the rest of the standard part ecosystem on top of carrying the traditional Draciel weaknesses of low power and heavy recoil, leaving it poor at Attack, Defense, and Stamina alike. |
| Weight Disk | Ten Balance | 15.0 g | A well-rounded, moderately heavy Weight Disk with a compact-but-edge-leaning mass distribution that balances RPM retention/grinding with survival. | |
| Spin Gear | Neo Right Spin Gear (North Magne Version) Shells | 1.15 ea (2.3 total) g | Right | Neo-pattern shells are favored over regular Right shells because they fit every Spin-Gear-compatible Blade Base and unlock Neo-only cores, including the Heavy Metal Core. |
| Spin Gear | North Magnecore | 3.3 g | Compatible only with Neo shells; its magnetic polarity barely matters outside dedicated Magnecore stadiums, only mildly affecting fitment with magnetized tips (Magne Flat Base Tip, Customize Grip Base Tip) or a flippable Magne Weight Disk. Its main practical effect is simply added mass — lighter than a Heavy Metal Core but heavy enough to help control recoil on Attack types, which matters where a full Heavy Metal Core would slow the Beyblade too much. | |
| Blade Base | Viper Metal Ball Base | 8.2 g | The first comparatively lightweight Draciel Blade Base, trading the bulk of earlier Draciel Bases for smaller, fixed metal balls and a slimmer shaft-mounted small ball tip meant to channel a Magnecore's magnetism through a metal pole. Using a Magnecore locks the balls in place, though this barely matters given how little the balls move or weigh anyway — they're more cosmetic than functional. |
Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.

In play and in the story
The community considers Ten Spike among the weakest Draciel attack rings, since its uneven protrusions generate heavy recoil rather than absorbing hits, and Viper Metal Ball fares little better: its tall shaft is easy to tip over and its low centre of mass works against it, leaving this top with almost nothing suited to serious play beyond its Ten Balance weight disk and Neo Right casing, both more useful pulled for other builds.
- Released in an Ito Yokado exclusive white version.
- Released in a light blue Random Booster 12 version.
- Released in a gold-plated version.
Community testing, Aug. 12, 2011 — summarised
The competitive view
Covers Draciel Viper (A-67), a 5-Layer/Magnecore-system Defense Beyblade whose signature Viper Metal Ball Base underperforms earlier Draciel bases because its raised area near the internal metal balls is an easy target for low attackers, throwing off its balance.
The Viper Metal Ball Base is easily knocked off-balance or knocked out because its raised section near the metal balls sits low to the ground where attackers make contact, and its weight distribution wastes the effect of the internal balls; it is outperformed for defense by the Fortress base, which can hold a Bearing Core ver.2.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Rated as one of the least useful Draciel releases; the only reasons to buy it are the 10 Balance disk and Neo Right SG casing, both obtainable from more useful Beyblades, so it is recommended for collecting only.
- AR: Ten Spike - originally described as army green with 10 flat protrusions; later corrected to a dark metallic green with ten flat protrusions, five smaller than the others
- WD: 10 Balance (shared writeup with another article)
- SG: Neo Right SG, North Core Version (shared writeup with another article)
- BB: Viper Metal Ball Base
- Other version: Draciel V (Light Blue) RB12
