Dr. Zagart

Biography

Dr Zagart is the recluse behind the second half of V-Force, the man whose ancient rock full of sealed bit-beasts turns up at Judy Tate's lab. Through Doctor K and Alan McKenzie he funds the extraction work and hires a string of bladers with rock bit-beasts to attack the Bladebreakers, then fields Gordo and Zeo at the World Championship to take Dranzer and Draciel. The motive is grief, not greed: his son Zeo died in an accident, and the boy carrying the name is an android built in his image — in the wider telling, his younger son Leon, made over into a replica — whom he believes the four sacred beasts can turn human. Tyson and Dragoon free the stolen bit-beasts and the scheme collapses, and what he is left with is accepting Zeo as he is rather than as he wanted him.

Dr. Zagart cuts an imposing figure: a tall, heavily built man with long, unkempt hair and a beard. His clothing echoes the uniform worn by Team Zagart's bladers, and over his left eye he wears a purple-and-white cybernetic goggle fitted with a red lens.
