Description

Queen's blade, the colder and more calculating of the royal pair's two weapons. Gabriel is later fitted with the Shredder, a saw-toothed attack ring that chews through opposing rings, and it is with that upgrade that Queen faces Max in the tag semifinal. Max's newly built Draciel V2 and its Heavy Viper Wall are the first things the Shredder cannot cut, and the loss effectively ends King and Queen's run in the tournament.

Gabriel is an Attack Type Magnacore System top that Takara Tomy sold in Japan from June 2002 inside Random Booster 7, later reissuing it as a white recolour in Bey Booster F. Its parts run a Gabriel bit chip, a Twin Horn attack ring, a Revolver Attacker weight disk, a Neo Right Spin Gear in the metal-weight version, and an SG Wing Base blade base.

Parts in detail

SlotPartWeightSpinNote
Attack Ring Twin Horn 3.9 g Right (moderate) / Left (excellent) A well-balanced, only slightly oversized ring with rounded, low-gap sides; unremarkable in right spin (limited compact-attack use, with occasional fragility reports) but rated one of the best Attack Rings in the format for left-spin spin-stealing and defensive-zombie builds thanks to very low recoil.
Weight Disk Revolver Attack 15.0 g Lighter than Heavy and Eight Heavy with a compact distribution that suggests defensive use, but recoil from its contact points and middling weight leave it with no real competitive niche; even Heavy Attack does better on setups that can reduce that recoil.
Spin Gear Neo Right Spin Gear (Metal Weight Version) 1.15 per shell (2.3 total) / 2.5 (Metal Weight Core) g Right The Neo shell gives broad base compatibility; the Metal Weight Core is a generically decent, if unremarkable, recoil-control weight for attack-type builds.
Blade Base SG Wing Base 5.9 (without Sub-Ring) g Uniquely able to mount a Sub Attack Ring (using Gaia Dragoon's tip and a modified clip system), which is required for legal use; gives decent Life-After-Death with small Sub Rings such as War Lion's, but its own oversized base clips and wider Sub Rings cause bad scraping that hurts its compact-build potential.
Sub Attack Ring "Wing" Sub-Ring 1.5 g A softer-plastic free-spinning Sub Ring that, despite being free-spinning, suffers serious recoil because its width and shape let opponents lever it from above or below; collectors rate it as having essentially no competitive value.

Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.

Community testing, Oct. 20, 2011 — summarised

The competitive view

Gabriel is a rare Prize Beyblade obtainable from Random Booster 7/F, or as the Hasbro version White Gabriel G which adds Engine Gear support, built around the Twin Horn Attack Ring, Revolver Attack Weight Disk, Neo Right Spin Gear, and SG Wing Base. Its round, compact Twin Horn Attack Ring is prized chiefly for Zombie/Life-After-Death spin-steal customizations.

Twin Horn's round, compact shape gives modest Smash Attack and occasional KOs, but its main strength is Zombie/LAD spin-steal work in a combo pairing it with Wide Survivor, a Neo-Left Spin Gear, a bearing-version shaft, Cross Survival, and Customize Grip Base (whose Support-Part compatibility boosts Life After Death); the SG Wing Base gives decent attack and stamina from its hard-plastic tip, but its wings create stadium friction that rules it out competitively.

Verdict as the draft gives it: A must-have for Zombie/LAD-focused collectors due to Twin Horn's compact shape, despite its rarity and the SG Wing Base's competitive limitations.

  • AR Twin Horn: 5 grams, symmetrical two-ram design, small notches, round shape; the Hasbro version was modified to support a Sub-Attack Ring, so only the Takara version is recommended for Zombie combos
  • WD Revolver Attack: 15 grams
  • SG Neo Right (Metal Weight Version): 5 grams
  • BB SG Wing Base: 7 grams, hard-plastic flat tip with wings
  • Versions: Gabriel (Random Booster 7, Silver Ver.), Gabriel (Random Booster F, White Ver.), White Gabriel G (Hasbro Ver.)
