Biography

Goki — Gouki in Japan — is the biggest and bluntest of Kane's friends, and resists the cyber bit-beasts until a loss to Jim pushes him into taking Cyber Dranzer, the copy of Kai's phoenix. Its influence has him by the time Tyson interrupts one of his matches. His Battle Tower fight against Kai is the original against the counterfeit, and Kai hesitates over it because what is happening to Goki is what happened to his friend Wyatt. Goki is not cruel, only out of his depth; Kai beats him, frees him, and the two make it up. Afterwards he and Salima travel the world teaching children to blade.

Beyblade V-Force (2002)

Team Psykick

A loss to Jim finally pushes Goki into taking up Cyber Dranzer, and the power turns on him fast enough that Tyson's interruption of his rematch with Jim can't stop the change from taking hold. By the Battle Tower's third match he is unrecognizable, and Kai freezes rather than fight him, seeing the same corruption that once consumed his friend Wyatt. Pushed by Tyson to finish it, Kai wins a hard-fought battle and shatters Cyber Dranzer, leaving Goki dazed in the same state Salima falls into after her own defeat. What follows is an apology neither boy needs to say aloud; by the Championship arc he's traveling the world with Salima teaching kids the game while Kane and Jim stay behind to compete.

  • Became corrupted by Cyber Dranzer during a match against Jim that Tyson's interruption cut short.
  • Fought Kai Hiwatari in the Battle Tower, a battle Kai initially resisted due to Goki's resemblance to the corrupted Wyatt.
  • Freed from corruption after Kai destroys Cyber Dranzer's bit-chip.
  • Reconciled with Kai afterward and, alongside Salima, spent the World Championships arc teaching Beyblading to children rather than competing.
