Biography

Ozuma opens V-Force as the hooded Mister X, the stranger who beats the reigning world champion in a back-lot dish and disappears — twice. He leads the Saint Shields, a clan sworn to seal the four sacred bit-beasts away before anyone can misuse them, and his leopard Flash Leopard is fast enough to make Dragoon look slow. He trained himself hard and in bad weather for one purpose, and along the way he teaches: the lessons come through battles, and they are about not overrating yourself, and about a match turning on the blader's will rather than on owning a good Beyblade. In effect he was making Tyson a fair match before taking Dragoon, and he never managed it. After a tie at the abandoned amusement park he rules that the bit-beasts are safest where they are, and he later enters the real championship, reaching the quarter-finals before Zeo's Burning Cerberus stops him.

Black hair with red bangs and green eyes. He spends his first appearances as Mr X, under a hooded cloak; once it comes off he is in the Saint Shields' uniform.

A formidable blader who beat Tyson more than once. He trained himself hard and in bad weather towards one end: to become strong enough to take the bit-beasts back from whoever held them. What he did instead, for a while, was teach — the lessons came through battles, and they were about not overrating yourself, and about a match turning on the blader's own will rather than on owning a bit-beast or a good Beyblade. In effect he was making sure Tyson was a fair match before he tried to take Dragoon, and when the moment came he never managed it, and never stopped trying.
