Biography

Salima is the conscience of Kane's group, opposed to the cyber bit-beasts from the start and pushed into a training match where she accidentally summons Cyber Driger — the copy built from Ray's tiger — and is partly taken over by it. She and Ray had struck up an easy rapport before they became opponents, which makes the Battle Tower match painful for both; she nearly dies in it, loses fairly, and breaks free. She is composed and intelligent and blades well above the level of a hired pilot, and she looks out for people outside her team too, telling Ray to forfeit and save his bit-beast rather than take a free win. Afterwards she leaves competition to travel and teach children the game, and reappears with Kane's group at the World Championship.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Spiky red hair, longer than Max's but cut much the same way, and dark purple eyes. She wears a black jacket over a purple top with a white skirt, red belt, black stockings and purple shoes; her first appearance drops the jacket and the stockings. Once she joins the team she is in the Psykick uniform.

Kind, and a true believer in what her team says it is for — learning everything there is to learn about Beyblade. She looks out for people outside it too: she told Ray to forfeit and save his bit-beast rather than take the free win herself, and she left competition afterwards to travel and teach children the game. She was also among the members who refused to cheat.

Beyblade V-Force (2002)

Team Psykick

She turns up at the airport already rescuing strangers, saving two younger bladers' Beyblades from a passing bus before her group pulls Tyson's grandfather from a river and meets the Bladebreakers. Gideon and Doctor B enlist her with Kane, and though she argues the cyber beasts should never be used, Doctor B pits her against Kane in a training match, where Cyber Driger comes out on its own and begins to consume her. Facing Ray in the tower she still fights fair, wrecking Doctor B's monitoring gear rather than cheat, and is nearly killed before Ray's win breaks the bit-beast's grip. She then runs to stop Kane's spiraling match and is struck down by his corrupted Dragoon. Once the tower empties she leaves the sport to teach children abroad.

Quotes

In Their Own Words

  • Someday, we’ll have a fair fight, with no one getting in the way.
  • If he goes on like this, then Kane won’t last much longer!
  • Your silence must mean that you’re scared to battle me.
  • Oh, Kane, you're not yourself right now.
  • Oh, you are not yourself, Kane, I know you are better than this.
  • Remember what you once told me. Enjoy the battle, and don't worry too much about winning the match. Huh... That was the advice you gave me. Look at you! Look what you've become!
