Description
Max's Engine Gear blade, first launched against Kai in the PPB All Starz match with the Blitzkrieg Boys. Its engine is used defensively: instead of accelerating into an attack, Draciel G fires the gear to hold position when a heavier blade should have knocked it flying, and its Gravity Control drags opponents' blades down as if the dish had tilted. It anchors Max's partnership with Rick and gives Tyson one of his hardest fights of the round-robin.
Draciel G was Max's sixth Beyblade, evolving out of Draciel V2 and later giving way to Draciel MS. It runs on the Engine Gear System, pairing a Shield Hammer attack ring shaped like paired turtle heads and claws with a Ten Wide weight disk, a metal-ball-tipped right Engine Gear and a Hit Release blade base that fires near the end of a battle. Takara and Hasbro both released colour variants of it: a dark green Hasbro edition and a black Takara recolour.

Parts in detail

| Slot | Part | Weight | Spin | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Attack Ring | Shield Hammer | 6.3 g | A large, comparatively heavy Attack Ring that lands in an awkward middle ground — too recoil-prone to defend well, not aggressive enough to attack well. Its main viable role is a heavily outclassed Smash Attack piece, since its contact points are poorly angled for real damage. | |
| Weight Disk | Ten Wide | 14.0 (Takara/Hasbro) / 14.3 (SonoKong G-Blade) g | A moderately light Weight Disk with an outward mass bias, though less extreme than Wide Defense or Wide Survivor, which costs it some spin-stealing and survival performance. | |
| Spin Gear | Right Engine Gear (Metal Ball) | 11.5 g | Right | An unusually heavy Engine Gear — heavier even than a Neo-cased Heavy Metal Core — whose activation gimmick offers no real benefit: a bit more aggressive movement at high RPM, instability at low RPM. Its Metal Ball tip and surrounding shape skip over the stadium's tornado ridge too easily, hurting defense and recoil control, and it's too unstable for Stamina and too immobile (plus too centrally weighted) for Attack. |
| Blade Base | Final Clutch Base (Draciel G Version) | 7.3 g | Two tiny embedded metal balls in the clutch tabs add negligible weight or defensive value, making this the lightest Final Clutch Base made (Dranzer G's version is the heaviest). Its delayed-activation clutch can occasionally land a late offensive push with flat tips, but the Beyblade is usually too spun-down by then for it to matter. |
Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.
In play and in the story
Competitive players give Shield Hammer little credit, since its claws barely make contact and the ring is prone to recoil, so serious combos skip it. The Metal Ball spin-gear tip is likewise avoided, because a wobbling top can push itself further off balance through the cone shape at its base, and the Draciel version of Hit Release is outclassed by other Final Clutch bases despite its metal-ball fill.
- Released in a dark green Hasbro version.
- Released in a black Takara recolour.
Community testing, Jul. 14, 2012 — summarised
The competitive view
Draciel G consists of the Shield Hammer attack ring, the 10-Wide weight disk, the Metal Ball-tipped engine gear, and the Final Clutch Base, and is compatible with the Wolborg IV base. An earlier assessment using the 8-Wide weight disk was later judged a rushed guess rather than a considered choice. Shield Hammer is considered too rounded to attack effectively and prone to recoil, though how recoil-prone it really is is disputed. The Metal Ball tip is reported to tip the beyblade onto its side under wobble, and the Final Clutch Base's metal balls are reported to have no real effect on performance.
