Description
Hasbro issued Dark Effigy G as its own Defense Type take on Takara's Dark Gargoyle, keeping the concept but swapping in different components under the Engine Gear System. Its stack pairs a Genocide Circle attack ring with a Ten Heavy weight disk, a Right Engine Gear in its customize form, an Instant Release blade base borrowed from the Metal Driger line, and a hemispherical Metal Ball tip fitted to the gear.

Parts in detail
Hasbro's Engine Gear-based counterpart to Takara's Death Gargoyle. Notably, its Customize Engine Weight (CEW) tip doesn't match the tip used on Metal Driger, the Beyblade its other parts are copied from — likely because Takara's own Metal Driger release never got an Engine Gear version, even though Hasbro's did.
| Slot | Part | Weight | Spin | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Attack Ring | Genocide Circle | 5.9 g | Both (Right Spin has minor Upper Attack slopes) | Aggressive gaps and contact points on the wing-tips and beak shapes generate strong recoil and occasional Smash Attack, but the wing sections themselves barely make contact, so hits swing between solid power with heavy recoil, or nothing at all. Shallow Right-Spin Upper Attack slopes are further blocked by pole-like extensions at the front of each wing. |
| Weight Disk | Ten Heavy | 16.1 g | The heaviest legal Weight Disk, with a compact mass profile that trades attack usefulness for strong RPM retention — valuable for defense, grinding, Force Smash, and Upper Attack match-ups, and for defending against those same styles. | |
| Spin Gear | Right Customize Engine Gear | 6.7 g | Right | A standard Right-Spin Engine Gear built around swappable Customize Engine Weights. The Engine Gear's burst-of-motion gimmick rarely helps: early activation breaks the flower pattern and can cause self-knockouts, late activation is destabilizing, and even the rare useful late burst for Attack types lacks a tip built to exploit it. |
| Blade Base | First Clutch Base (Metal Driger Version) | 6.9 g | Activates its clutch mechanism at the start of the match, which is less self-destructive than a Final Clutch trigger but still tends to break the flower pattern or cause a self-KO. Its LAD is decent for an Engine Gear Base, but because it doesn't actually help Right Customize Gear (Free Shaft Version) + Light Sharp CEW combos and gets in their way, Normal Base (Wolborg 4 Version) and Normal Base (Rock Bison Version) outclass it; minor triangular-protrusion recoil doesn't help either. | |
| Other | Customize Engine Weight: Metal Ball | 3.7 g | A tall, ball-tipped CEW with poor balance that skips over the stadium's tornado ridge too easily, limiting its defensive value; its one true niche is helping Gyro Engine Gear self-right. |
Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.
