About This Part
Shield Hammer is a defence-oriented piece from the Engine Gear System that debuted with Draciel G's release in April 2003, weighing 6 grams. Its main features are two turtle-head-shaped projections set opposite each other and two clawed sections between them, each claw carrying three small diamond-shaped studs that create minor protrusions without giving it any real offensive bite. The rounded overall shape provides some limited defensive value, but the ring is considered outclassed by better options.
In Play
Competitive players consider it barely viable for a small amount of smash attack and prone to recoil damage, and note that Draciel G's other stock parts (a self-destructive Metal Ball and a largely useless Final Clutch Base) don't help matters, leaving the whole set treated as a cheap, easy-to-find collector's piece rather than a competitive one.
- Released with Draciel G in April 2003 as part of the Engine Gear System.
