Description

Ray's Hard Metal System blade, finished alongside Draciel MS and Strata Dragoon MS in the rebels' mountain camp. Like the others it is nearly uncontrollable at first, and the training episode shows all four bladers being dragged around by their own launches. Driger MS is the blade of the second Justice 5 match, a brutal slugging contest with Crusher in which Ray refuses to yield and the match is ruled a draw after both bladers are spent.

Driger MS was the first Balance Type top in the Hard Metal System lineup, carrying Ray Kon through the Beyblade: G-Revolution anime and the manga until Bakuten Shoot Beyblade: Rising retires it in favour of Driger Slash 4Vortex Hunter. It is assembled from the Driger Emblem Bit Protector, the Metal Upper Attack Ring, the Circle Balance Weight Disk and the Semi-Flat spinning core.

In play and in the story

Metal Upper is credited with solid upper attack in right-spin and respectable smash and spike attack in left-spin thanks to its metal tiger heads, but its compact build has since been overtaken by newer, more refined attack rings, and the Semi-Flat Core's balanced but defense-leaning movement is considered outclassed by later spinning cores.

  • Released as part of the initial Hard Metal System lineup.
  • Up to 50 Gold Plated Version sets were given away through the Heavy Metal System Award prize set for the Beyblade 5th Anniversary Commemorative Campaign.
