Community testing, Jan. 03, 2013 — summarised

The competitive view

Cygnus's clear wheel is credited with a place in top-tier defense and stamina combinations thanks to good weight and distribution, particularly alongside two-sided metal wheels in builds like Duo Cygnus 230D or 230MB. Kreis's free-spinning metal frame is rated a functional failure: its sliding gimmick only rotates about 75 degrees before internal protrusions collide and drain spin and balance, regardless of the opponent's spin direction, while its attack mode carries two recoil-causing bumps and its even weight split blunts the flywheel effect needed for real stamina or attack power. The 145 track is rated behind W145 and AD145 for stamina, worth using only when those aren't on hand. Cygnus's stamina-and-defense strength is considered already well established relative to comparable alternatives like Cancer and Aquario.
