Community testing, May. 31, 2011 — summarised

The competitive view

Big Bang Pegasis F:D is a 4D System Attack Beyblade whose three-piece Big Bang Metal Wheel (PC Frame, Metal Frame, Core) rotates into four different modes, paired with the mode-changing Final Drive (F:D) 4D Bottom that shifts between a rubber flat tip and an SF tip as the Beyblade loses spin.

Testing cited in the article found Big Bang strong in Attack and passable in Defense, with the combo MF Big Bang (Barrage Mode) Pegasis III TH170(220 Height)RF praised for ferocious Attack, and MF Big Bang (Barrage Mode) Pegasis III BD145RF cited as a good counter to Lightning L Drago BD145LRF. F:D has found only light competitive use so far, mainly in Anti-Meta combos such as MF-H Gravity Perseus F:D.

Verdict as the draft gives it: The article calls Big Bang a merely decent Attack wheel and F:D a niche Anti-Meta part, concluding the Beyblade overall is a decent buy and a welcome addition for someone who already has a solid Metal Fight Beyblade collection.

  • Pegasis III Clear Wheel: 3.14 grams, original release blue, contains internal 'iron dust' for added but negligible weight
  • Big Bang Metal Wheel: 41.83 grams total - PC Frame 2.50 grams (dyed red), Metal Frame 25.48 grams, Core 13.81 grams
  • Four Big Bang modes: Smash Mode, Upper Mode, Barrage Mode, Omni-Directional Attack Mode (Barrage and Omni-Directional Attack considered the best)
  • Final Drive (F:D) 4D Bottom: 5.85 grams
  • Other versions: Big Bang Pegasis III F:D (Big Bang Pegasis DX Set, white PC Frame), Big Bang Pegasis III F:D Golden Wing Ver. (gold Big Bang), Big Bang Pegasis II 105RF (Big Bang Pegasis Dream Ver., gold Big Bang)
