About This Part

145 is a Takara Tomy Spin Track that debuted in Japan on August 9, 2008 with the BB-03 Starter Sagittario 145S, then crossed to western shelves with the BB-30 Starter Pack Rock Leone 145WB. It weighs about 1.4 grams and stands 14.50mm tall on a 20mm frame, and Takara Tomy's own line calls it built for smash attacks delivered from above. Before the 230 Track arrived with Flame Byxis 230WD, 145 held the record as the tallest Track sold, and its height still lets Stamina builds wobble longer as their spin runs down, though gimmicked cousins such as Boost Disk 145, Armor Defense 145 and Wide Defense 145 have since outdone the plain version on balance and downforce.

In Play

It once anchored top-tier Stamina builds thanks to its wobble at height, but gimmicked 145-height Tracks with added weight or downforce have left the plain version behind in serious play.

  • Debuted in Japan on August 9, 2008 with the BB-03 Starter Sagittario 145S.
  • Reached western markets with the BB-30 Starter Pack Rock Leone 145WB.
  • Held the record as the tallest Spin Track until the release of the 230 Track with Flame Byxis 230WD.
  • Takara Tomy's tagline for the part promotes it for smashing attacks delivered from above.
