Description

Omega Dragonis 85XF is an Attack Type top that Takara Tomy first bundled with the Strongest Dragonis 4D Guide before Hasbro carried it into the west as a Starter Pack across the Spark FX and Beyblade Legends toylines. Its build sets a Dragonis Face Bolt and Energy Ring beneath an Omega Fusion Wheel, an 85 Spin Track and an Extreme Flat Performance Tip.

In play and in the story

Community discussion treats the light 85XF combination as a quick, aggressive attack setup that gives up stamina and defence for speed.

Community testing, Jun. 30, 2012 — summarised

The competitive view

Omega Dragonis 85XF is a rare 4D System Beyblade released with a special CoroCoro magazine guide, whose box mislabeled it '85WF' by typo, built around the two-piece Omega Metal Wheel (Core and Frame) that switches between Assault and Barrage attack modes.

The Dragonis Clear Wheel's light, uneven weight distribution is called outclassed; Omega's low recoil versus top Attack wheels gives a wider knockout window but it lacks their Stamina, raw power, and weight, requiring near-perfect play to compete with Flash, VariAres, and Blitz. 85 offers a low center of gravity useful for Attack/Defense/Stamina low-track builds in theory but has fallen out of competitive use since Boost Disk 145 and 230 arrived. Extreme Flat trades control and grip for speed and Stamina compared to Rubber Flat, and versus Metal Flat it is faster and grippier but less controllable, generally suiting left-spin, spin-equalizing builds better than conventional same-spin Stamina.

Verdict as the draft gives it: The article says Dragonis is largely useless, Omega unreliable, 85 essentially outdated, and Extreme Flat available on cheaper Beyblades, concluding this Beyblade is worth buying only for collecting given its added rarity.

  • Dragonis Face: 1.08 grams
  • Dragonis Clear Wheel: 2.87 grams
  • Omega Metal Wheel: 37.83 grams total - Core 25.30 grams, Frame 12.53 grams
  • Two modes: Assault Mode and Barrage Mode, switched by rotating the Frame on the Core
  • 85 Track: 0.86 grams
  • Extreme Flat (XF) Bottom: 0.68 grams
