Community testing, 2011-03-14 — summarised
The competitive view
Basalt Horogium 145WD is a Metal Fight Beyblade Defense-type starter (BB-104), the fifth and final release in Takara-Tomy's Maximum Series, built around the extra-heavy Basalt metal wheel. Each stock part -- face, clear wheel, metal wheel, track and bottom -- is described by shape, weight and role in Defense and Stamina play.
Basalt is rated the best available Defense wheel due to sheer weight, and also strong for Stamina despite recoil from its internal cutout, citing the combos MF-H Basalt Bull BD145MB (Defense) and Basalt Bull AD145WD (Stamina); WD is called one of the best Stamina bottoms, beating Burn/Earth wheel combos but losing to MF-H Basalt Bull 230CS.
Verdict as the draft gives it: Basalt and WD are called top-tier parts every player should own; Horogium is a non-essential but useful alternative to Pisces for exposing the Screw metal wheel's slopes.
- Face Horogium: 1.05g
- Clear Wheel Horogium: 2.71g, greyish-blue, Roman-numeral clock motif
- Metal Wheel Basalt: 47.52g, heaviest Metal Wheel in the line, has an internal cutout nicknamed the 'Spiral Staircase of Death'
- Track 145: 1.47g
- Bottom Wide Defense (WD): 0.81g
- Released by Takara-Tomy with Light Launcher 2; Sonokong version shipped with Snipe Launcher; Hasbro release named Twisted Tempo 145WD
- Other version: Random Booster Vol.7 Vulcan Horogium BD145RS
