About This Part
85 is a Takara Tomy Spin Track that reached Japan in 2010 with Mercury Anubius 85XF and crossed to the west inside the BB-98 Ultimate Meteo L-Drago Assault 85XF Starter Pack. As the shortest Track ever released, it gives low-attacking builds both reach and stamina, though that same low stance drags it against the stadium floor once spin starts fading. Pairing it with a tall Performance Tip such as Rubber Flat cuts down on that scraping, and while Triple Height 170 and 230 can counter it directly, it stayed a strong Attack choice until Flame Byxis 230WD and Hades Kerbecs BD145DS arrived with Tracks immune to low attacks altogether.
In Play
Low-attack specialists once treated it as close to essential, though the community has largely moved past 85 and 90 now that top Defense combinations resist low hits entirely.
- Debuted in Japan in 2010 with Mercury Anubius 85XF.
- Reached western markets with the BB-98 Ultimate Meteo L-Drago Assault 85XF Starter Pack.
