About This Part
Viper Metal Ball Base is the Magnacore System base built for Draciel V. Unlike earlier Draciel bases, its metal balls are fixed rather than removable, and they sit inside the shaft itself, one pair facing each other, while the tip is a single free-spinning metal ball similar to the one on Draciel F. A magnetic rod in the base means only V- and V2-series Spin Gears can be fitted, and attaching a Magnacore lets the rod pick up that core's polarity, pulling the metal balls against the magnetized shaft.
In Play
Two design choices work against it as a defensive base: the long shaft holding the tip and balls raises the whole beyblade, making it easy to knock off balance, and notches on the base hurt its life-after-death, while the low-slung metal balls also pull its centre of gravity too close to the floor. The community regards it as a step down from earlier Draciel bases for defence.
