Description

Phantom Orion B:D belongs to Chris in Beyblade: Metal Fury, built from the Orion Face Bolt and Energy Ring, the Phantom Fusion Wheel, and a Bearing Drive Performance Tip. Both Takara Tomy and Hasbro put it out as part of the 4D System, and a CoroCoro lottery later offered a Skeleton version in black with red highlights and a translucent white Energy Ring and Face Bolt.

Community testing, Oct. 01, 2011 — summarised

The competitive view

Covers the 4D Beyblade Phantom Orion B:D (BB-118): a hunter-constellation Face and Clear Wheel, the Phantom Metal Wheel (only complete when its Metal Frame is paired with its plastic Core), which flips between Attack and Stamina Modes, and the ball-bearing Bearing Drive Bottom prized for extreme solo-spin stamina.

Phantom's Metal-Frame-only outer weighting in Stamina Mode gives it a strong flywheel effect and low recoil, putting its stamina roughly on par with Basalt and Scythe depending on the exact combo; B:D's shielded ball bearings minimize friction for exceptional stamina and pair well with heavy defensive tracks.

Verdict as the draft gives it: B:D is called one of the best Stamina Bottoms available; cited combos include MF/-H Phantom Orion BD145EDS/CS and the stock MF/-H Phantom Orion B:D, with the article recommending every blader own at least one despite Orion's Clear Wheel having little competitive value on its own.

  • Clear Wheel: Orion - 3.0 grams, four-sided, contains iron powder like other 4D Clear Wheels
  • Metal Wheel: Phantom - roughly 44.5 grams as a full wheel (Metal Frame ~42.0 grams, Core ~2.5 grams)
  • Phantom's Metal Frame flips 180 degrees between Stamina Mode (Orion's "smirk" design, near-circular) and Attack Mode (more rigid, indented)
  • Bottom: Bearing Drive (B:D) - 3.45 grams, translucent yellow, height comparable to TH170, reportedly capable of up to seven-minute solo spins
  • Other version: Phantom Orion B:D Skeleton Ver. (CoroCoro Magazine, white)
