About This Part

Cosmic, also sold as Big Bang, is a Fusion Wheel Takara Tomy issued for the 4D System, debuting in Japan on March 26, 2011 with the Starter Big Bang Pegasis F:D and reaching western shelves in December 2012 with the Hyper-Strike Battle Set. It is built from three separate pieces, a polycarbonate PC Frame, a Metal Frame, and a Core, that can be rearranged into four configurations: Smash Attack Mode, All-purpose Attack Mode, Barrage Mode, and Upper Attack Mode. The PC Frame and Metal Frame both carry a three-winged shape recalling Pegasus, while the Core's three flat wings curve leftward and hold the Metal Frame in place. The Metal Frame is the heaviest of the three parts at roughly 25.48 grams, with the Core adding about 13.81 grams and the PC Frame contributing only 2.50 grams.

In Play

Community consensus treats Cosmic as an underachiever for the hype around its release, with real use limited to a handful of niche attack combinations and a few defence builds paired with tall spin tracks, and it has since been outclassed by later 4D and Synchrome System wheels, leaving it mainly a collector's piece.
