Description

Aero Knight MS is a Defense Type Hard Metal System Beyblade whose knight-themed bit protector and jagged Knight Crusher attack ring nod to an armored, winged warrior. Its running core is a two-piece Aero Core/Aero Wing unit that reuses the flying-helicopter gimmick from the plastic-era Trypio top, letting the wing disk be launched and spun on its own.

In play and in the story

Rated poorly for competitive play: the Knight Crusher ring causes heavy recoil or plastic wear in either spin direction and is outclassed by rings like Samurai Upper and Advance Survivor; the tall Aero Core suffers more balance loss than its plastic-era 230 counterpart because of HMS's smaller diameter; and the Aero Wing's air resistance slows the Beyblade badly and risks scraping the stadium floor if an opponent gets underneath it.

  • No release date is recorded for this Beyblade.
  • Its Circle Wide weight disk is noted as also appearing (in a heavier mold) with Draciel MS.
  • Its gimmick inspired the later Burst Beyblades Air Knight 12Expand Eternal and Wind Knight Moon Bounce-6.

Community testing, Dec. 06, 2015 — summarised

The competitive view

Aero Knight MS, an HMS-era Beyblade, has a weak Knight Crusher attack ring outclassed by Samurai Upper, Circle Upper and Advance Survivor, a versatile Circle Wide weight disk praised for life-after-death glide, and an Aero Wing/Aero Core running core criticized as a bad, air-resistant copy of the plastics-era Trypio gimmick. The physics explanation for the running core's poor performance is disputed, with precession preferred over gravitational-torque language to avoid a misconception.
