About This Part
Bottom Spike, also known as Ball Sharp, carries a fine, rounded point that barely touches the stadium floor, cutting friction and helping the Beyblade hold onto its spin velocity, though that same slim tip leaves it prone to the balance trouble Spike also suffers from. Takara Tomy released it in Japan on October 23rd, 2008 with the BB-18 Booster Libra DF145BS, reaching western countries in 2010 through the BB-60 Starter Pack Earth Virgo GB145BS.
In Play
The community now considers Bottom Spike outclassed by its own descendants, Eternal Spike and Coating Spike, for both Defense and Stamina work, and treats it as a piece best kept for collecting rather than battle; Defense, Semi-Defense and Wide Defense tend to serve better in practice.
