Description

The blade of BEGA's prodigy, a blader so naturally gifted that he has never had to practise, and the final antagonist of the trilogy. Zeus does not so much attack as erase: its King of Darkness swallows the dish in black, and when Brooklyn finally loses his composure the blade's power distorts the sky over the whole city. It beats Kai in the BEGA selection match, is beaten by Kai at terrible cost in Justice 5, and falls to Tyson's Dragoon MS in the series' last battle.

Takara put this Stamina Type Booster (A-129) on Japanese shelves in October 2003 for 680円, built for the Engine Gear System and tied to the BEGA League arc of Beyblade: G-Revolution. Its Zeus Bit Chip, Holy Despell Attack Ring, Ten Wide Weight Disk, Right Customize Gear and Right First Clutch Base combine for a right-spinning Stamina build.

Parts in detail

Takara's original release of Zeus, part of the higher-priced GT series. It pairs a small Core Attack Ring (Holy Despell) with a locking Sub Attack Ring (Screw Zeus) and runs on the Engine Gear system via Right Customize Gear (Free Shaft Version) and the Customize Engine Weight Light Sharp, mounted on First Clutch Base (Zeus Version). Hasbro later issued its own version with a different Engine Gear and Customize Engine Weight (see Zeus (Hasbro)).

SlotPartWeightSpinNote
Attack Ring Holy Despell 2.8 g Its own triangular protrusions cause heavy recoil, which is a serious flaw for the survival-type roles it might otherwise suit, and it doesn't work well with its own free-spinning Sub Attack Ring. It sees some niche defensive use — Zombie combinations, Circle Survivor Defense, and compacts — with War Lion or War Monkey Sub Attack Rings, though it's outclassed there too, and Dragon Saucer's Sub Attack Ring can jam inside its mounting slot.
Sub Attack Ring Screw Zeus 4.4 g Both One of the best Smash Attack parts of the generation once fixed in place, working strongly in both spin directions with the right pairing — Dragon Breaker (heaviest combination, strong versus Weight Based Defense), Dragon Saucer (a safer, top-tier all-rounder), or Great Dragon (lighter, more forgiving of tip wear). Fast, high-traction tips such as SG Grip Change Base Tip or Defense Grip Base bring out its full power; War Lion/War Monkey merely lock it in place without adding meaningful offense.
Weight Disk Ten Wide 14.0 (Takara/Hasbro) / 14.3 (SonoKong G-Blade) g Favors Smash Attack setups, including Attack Rings that Wide Defense would obstruct, over the spin-stealing/survival roles better suited to Wide Defense or Wide Survivor, though it retains some spin-stealing utility with LAD-compensating parts like Spiral Change Base or Dragon Saucer's Sub Attack Ring.
Spin Gear Right Customize Gear (Free Shaft Version) Shells 2.0g each (4.0 total) plus two bearings; matching shaft 0.87g g Right Rarely used competitively because Engine Gear blade bases generally have poor Life After Death and this line is right-spin only, which limits Zombie applications. It becomes genuinely competitive paired with Customize Engine Weight Light Sharp and Normal Base (Wolborg 4 Version) or Normal Base (Rock Bison Version), which route LAD through Wide Survivor instead of the base. Other Customize Engine Weights (Metal Sharp, Metal Grip) offer some post-balance-loss survival but are outclassed. The bare shaft can also mount SG (Full Auto Clutch Version) Shaft or SG (Bearing Version 2) Shaft for Tier 2 attack setups.
Blade Base First Clutch Base (Zeus Version) 8.0 g Good weight, distribution, and defensive shape are undercut by poor Life After Death, which limits most of its potential uses. Its weight lets it approach Heavy-Metal-Core-level Weight Based Defense combinations when paired with Right Engine Gear (Circle Defenser) or (Mystery Cutter) to help lock Circle Survivor in place, or with Metal Driger's Right Spin Gear (Heavy Metal Core), though stability and LAD issues mean such combos still tend to get outspun by top-tier defense setups.
Spin Gear Light Sharp (Customize Engine Weight) 0.85 g Right Its low friction allows a controlled level of aggression, which is a liability against Attack types but an asset against Spiral Change Base zombies that would otherwise safely outlast it. Its wide Change-shape gives it decent stability, better than Bearing Base Shaft's. It is only really useful mounted on Right Customize Gear (Free Shaft Version), the sole full-bearing free-spin option for it, and is not effective on Gyro Engine Gear due to low weight and limited defensive ability from its low friction.

Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.
