Description

The blade of Max's abrasive new partner on the PPB All Starz, a street blader from New York with no patience for laboratory data. Rock Bison is a battering ram: it hits so hard in the match against Barthez Battalion that the stadium is wrecked and Claude is injured. Rick's power is real but undisciplined, and the season traces how Max's steadiness turns him into a teammate, culminating in their tag battles and Rick's stand-off with Tala and Kai.

Rick pilots this Defense Type through Beyblade: G-Revolution, built from the Engine Gear System's Double Horn Attack Ring, Ten Heavy Weight Disk and Right EG Circle Defenser Spin Gear atop a Normal Base. Its Ten Heavy disk, at 17 grams, is the heaviest of the Heavy-series weight disks, a compact mass that lifts RPM and suits Defense-focused builds. In the manga it gives way to Rock Bison MS.

Parts in detail

SlotPartWeightSpinNote
Attack Ring Double Horn 5.5 g A mid-sized ring similar in layout to Cross Dranzer but with its slopes facing the opposite (less accessible) way; identical performance in either spin. The thick horn corners are the real contact points (other edges barely matter), giving somewhat inconsistent hits that land hard but recoil heavily; its slopes add minor, inconsistent destabilization/Upper Attack.
Weight Disk Ten Heavy 16.1 g The heaviest legal Weight Disk; a compact, edge-weighted spread favors defense over attack and sustains RPM well for grinding, defense, force-smash, and upper-attack builds.
Spin Gear Right Engine Gear (Circle Defenser) 6.9 g Right The same physical part as Right Engine Gear (Mystery Cutter), named differently by which CEW-style tip it ships with; compatible with Circle Defenser, Circle Survivor, and Mystery Cutter tips, though only Circle Survivor is genuinely useful. Lets Circle Survivor mount on bases other than the two purpose-built Normal Bases (Rock Bison/Wolborg 4 versions), and its extra height keeps the Attack Ring/Weight Disk further from attackers' hits, boosting both defense and survival for Circle Survivor Defense builds; also allows First Clutch Base (Zeus Version) to lock Circle Survivor in place, forming one of the heaviest Spin-Gear-plus-Blade-Base setups possible.
Blade Base Normal Base (Rock Bison Version) 5.6 g A small, round Engine Gear base that fires as soon as it's wound, whether by hand or by hits during the match; small rectangular edge protrusions make it marginally worse than the smooth-edged Wolborg 4 version if it takes a hit. Lacking a clutch means pre-battle winding must be held carefully to avoid early discharge, though large CEW tips like Circle Survivor can recharge/refire the gimmick mid-match from hits; better Life-After-Death than most Engine Gear bases, though still behind top-tier options like Defense Grip Base 2.
Other CEW Part: Circle Defenser 4.0 plus 0.23 (clip) g A large, low, flattish disk on a fairly tall tip (like an oversized Semi-Flat); the tip shape allows controlled movement, loose flower patterns, and good Tornado Ridge catch, and it can absorb some hits — but its recoil-heavy protrusions let capable Attackers strip its spin through rotational recoil and induced scraping, so even rubber-tipped attackers can outspin it. Poor Life-After-Death due to width, and it spins out wildly if it scrapes.

Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.

In play and in the story

Concentrating that much weight toward the centre rather than the rim boosts spin speed, which is why builders favour Ten Heavy for Defense customs over the lighter Six and Eight Heavy disks.
