Description

Daichi's Hard Metal System blade, built for the Justice 5 showdown with BEGA. The metal ring turns his crude power into something that can crack a dish, and the Spike Saw drives the spinning edge straight through an opponent's guard. Strata Dragoon MS opens the Justice 5 series against Ming-Ming's Venus, a match Daichi loses to a shape-shifting opponent, and it fights beside Dragoon MS in the finale's team scenes.

Also known as Gaia Dragoon MS, Strata Dragoon MS is Daichi Sumeragi's fourth build, evolving from Strata Dragoon G into the Hard Metal System as a dual-spin Attack Type top. Its Flat Core running core is entirely level, and the community now considers it easy to outclass despite being among the earliest HMS releases.

Community testing, 2009-07-10 — summarised

The competitive view

Gaia Dragoon MS carries an unresolved emblem name and comes in a number of limited colour releases still being catalogued. Its Metal Saucer bottom is noted for enabling Spin Stealing, similar in mechanism to Advance Averazer.

Core selection: Bearing Core 2 is recommended against attackers/older stadiums to prevent knockout, while Bearing Core suits Defense/Survival types and stadiums like Tornado Balance for better survival.

  • Other versions listed by reviewers: Campaign Limited (Silver), Tournament Limited (Gold), HMS Fukobako Lucky Box 2004 Booster (Black), Tournament Limited (Light Blue), Tournament Limited (Metallic Gold), Campaign Limited (Pure White), plus a Proto Grey version from the 5 Saint Beasts Booster and an unidentified white version
