Biography

Michael Summers captains the All Starz, the American team assembled inside Judy Tate's research centre, and he blades the way he pitches: a wind-up, a fastball launch and a great deal of swagger. The baseball background is what gives his eagle bit-beast Trygle its speed and precision on the dive. He is arrogant enough to write the Bladebreakers off as amateurs and good enough to make a real contest of it, until Max's defence outlasts him in the American final and takes most of the arrogance with it. He returns in G-Revolution beside Rick and Emily, and fights alongside his old rivals to bring down Boris and BEGA.

Personality

How They Behave

Captain of the All Starz, and out to prove he is above the bladers he meets — he, Steve and Eddy tend to pick on an opponent before the match starts. Losing to the Bladebreakers takes most of it out of him.

Where the seasons take them

Beyblade (2001)

All Starz (captain)

Michael struts through the early PPB scenes with more swagger than respect, waving off the idea that skill beats science before Tyson quietly beats him off-screen. He captains the All Starz through the American Tournament, needling Max about winning instead of playing right up until the final, where Max's defense finally outlasts him and takes the fight out of him. In Russia he leads the team into a tense meeting with the White Tigers that ends in a draw, then watches Kai wield Black Dranzer to crush the All Starz outright and strip their bit-beasts — a beating Michael, Lee and Robert answer by rallying behind Tyson's stand against the Demolition Boys, and Trygle comes home once Tyson wins.

Beyblade G-Revolution (2003)

PPB All Starz

G-Revolution finds Michael knocked down a peg before the season even properly starts: Rick beats him in the American qualifiers, and losing his spot on the team he built stings enough that he snaps at Judy for no longer needing the old squad. He sticks around anyway, campaigning hard when Tyson has to pick the final five captains for the G-Revolutions, and once Boris and BEGA resurface he sets the rivalry aside to fight beside Emily and Rick for the same cause.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • Though right-handed, he can pitch with either hand but has never won on-screen using his right hand
  • His G-Revolution look resembles Kit Lopez from Beyblade Burst Turbo
  • Also resembles Billy from Bakugan Battle Brawlers, both using a pitching-style launch stance
