Description

The eagle blade of the All Starz' baseball-star captain, launched with a pitcher's wind-up for extra speed. Trygle attacks from above, diving out of a climb to strike the top of an opponent's ring, a style backed by the PPB research centre's data. Its big match is the deciding game of the American final, where Max's Draciel S soaks up the dives until Trygle runs out of height. Michael brings it back for the PPB qualifiers in G-Revolution.

Michael Summers's first top pairs the Triple Wing Attack Ring with an Eight Wide Weight Disk, a jumping-version Right SG and the SG Jumping Base, giving it the Attack Type slot in the Spin Gear System.

Part by part

Parts in detail

A standard retail release, not part of a Random Booster line.

SlotPartWeightSpinNote
Attack Ring Triple Wing 4.4 g Right and Left A three-winged ring regarded as one of the defining Smash Attack parts of the generation, and one of the few non-mirrored rings that performs well in both directions. It trades some of the raw power of heavier rings like Square Edge for noticeably lower recoil.
Weight Disk Eight Wide 12.7 (hard-edge mold) / 12.2 (soft-edge mold) g A light, wide-spread disk. The hard-edge mold (Takara-only) tends to run slightly heavier than the softer-edged mold shared by Hasbro and later Takara production, though the overlap between them makes the difference mostly negligible in play.
Spin Gear Right Spin Gear Shells 1.1 each (shells) + 1.12 (Metal Weight Gear) g Right The original right-spin shell casing, incompatible with Neo cores and thus outclassed for competitive builds by Neo shells; it still permits slightly heavier standard-gimmick setups than Neo shells allow.
Spin Gear SG (Spring Version) 3.3 g A spring-loaded core, sharp but reasonably wide, built specifically for Jumping Base (Trygle); it sits tall and unstable when the spring extends. Some copies have a removable tip letting the shaft swap in the shorter SG (MG Spring Version) parts for better stability on Jumping Base 2.
Blade Base Jumping Base (Trygle) 7.8 g A jumping-gimmick base mounted on an already recoil-prone, unstable shell. Its wide skis and sharp tip rarely produce anything beyond an occasional lucky knockout.

Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.

In play and in the story

The community rates Triple Wing among the strongest regular Smash Attack rings alongside Cross Griffon and Eight Spiker, though the cheaper and more available Triple Tiger gives Bladers a comparable low-cost alternative; the Jumping Base itself draws less praise.

  • Also released in blue through the BBA Championship Series.
