Takara Tomy launched Valkyrie Wing Accel in Japan for 2376円, on July 18th, 2015, as a DX Starter, an Attack Type running the Valkyrie Layer over a Wing Disc and Accel Driver. The competitive view

Valtryek (Japanese name Valkyrie) is the first Energy Layer released for Burst and the Basic Layer System, debuting in the DX starter B-01 Valkyrie Wing Accel. Its tri-wing design gives each wing a large contact point for heavy hits and a smaller kite-shaped point for quick jabs, styled after Norse Valkyries. Its tall teeth make it excel at both burst attack and burst defense, though the same teeth wear quickly since they aren't reinforced like later dual-layer teeth.

The tall, aggressive teeth and sharp contact points make Valtryek one of the strongest layers for both landing and surviving burst finishes, though the teeth wear down quickly and limit how many battles a single copy can perform at its best in.

Verdict as the draft gives it: One of the best Energy Layers in the metagame for burst attack and defense; the article recommends every blader own multiple copies to cover tooth wear.
