About This Part
Valkyrie is the three-winged Attack Type Layer Takara Tomy used to launch the Burst System in Japan on July 18th, 2015, arriving in the B-01 DX Starter Valkyrie Wing Accel. Each of its wings carries a larger and a smaller kite-shaped contact point, and its centre depicts an armoured, feathered face split by a V-shape to represent the valkyries of Norse mythology. The aggressive angles of those contact points made it one of the strongest Attack Layers of its time for both Burst and Knock-Out Attack, and its four tall teeth let it withstand its own recoil, though like other pre-Xcalibur Layers those teeth wear down and eventually need replacing.
In Play
The Valkyrie Gravity Xtreme' build paired its Attack strength with Gravity's weight and Xtreme's speed to strong effect, and the community held it as the top Attack Layer until Lost Longinus and the God Layer System arrived; today it is rated too light for the Burst, Burst GT and Burst Limited formats, but remains a must-have in the WBO's Burst Classic format alongside rubber Attack Drivers such as Xtreme'.
