The Defense Type combo pairs the Evil-eye Layer with a Wing Disc and a Needle Driver. Exceed Evil-eye Gravity Atomic later took its place as the toyline successor.

The competitive view
Evipero (Japanese name Evileye) is a Burst-System Energy Layer debuting with the B-24 Random Booster Vol. 2 Evileye Wing Needle (December 26, 2015). It is a round defense-oriented layer with a coiled-serpent perimeter and an eye-iris-styled center, whose twelve angled blades deflect incoming hits away rather than absorbing them directly, reducing recoil.
The deflecting blade angles and four medium teeth give Evipero solid burst resistance for a defensive layer.
Verdict as the draft gives it: A strong defensive layer, though still outclassed by more common options such as Nepstrius and Wyvron; a welcome collection addition.
