Orthros G

Description

Orthros G is Hasbro's rendition of Blizzard Orthrus, keeping the same Bit Chip, Double Attacker Attack Ring and Ten Wide Weight Disk while swapping in an Engine Gear Base borrowed from Draciel G in place of the part the Takara Tomy version used. The extra "G" in its name marks it as one of the GRevolution-toyline releases carrying over a VForce-era Beyblade.

SlotPartWeightSpinNote
Attack Ring Double Attacker 4.3 g Both directions One of the hardest-hitting rings of the generation in right spin, with power rivaling Dragon Breaker + Screw Zeus combos and better performance against Circle Survivor Defense for lacking an overhang, but it's prone to recoiling itself out of the stadium and works best on tall bases like Defense Grip Base (Attack Mode); left spin is comparatively weak and not worth using.
Weight Disk Ten Wide 14.0 (Takara/Hasbro) / 14.3 (SonoKong G-Blade) g Moderately light with an outward weight bias, though less pronounced than Wide Defense/Wide Survivor; its recoil makes it worse for spin-stealing and survival than those heavier disks, but it remains useful for Smash Attack, especially with rings that wider disks would obstruct.
Spin Gear Right Customize Engine Gear 6.7 g Right The gimmick's activation timing rarely helps: firing early breaks the flower pattern and can self-KO, firing late destabilizes, and leaving it unwound just makes an overly tall, vulnerable combo; no good CEW tip exists for real offensive use.
Blade Base Final Clutch Base (Draciel G Version) 7.3 g Two small metal balls in the clutch tabs add little weight, making this the lightest Final Clutch Base (Dranzer G's version is heaviest); the late clutch fire occasionally sparks a late offensive push with flat tips but rarely matters by that point in a match.
Other Customize Engine Weight: Metal Ball 3.7 g A tall, ball-shaped tip with poor balance that skips the Tornado Ridge too easily for good defense; its one real niche is letting the Gyro Engine Gear self-right effectively.

Weights are single copies weighed on their own; a part can vary by a few tenths of a gram.
