Description

Geist Fafnir 8'Proof Absorb adds a Proof Frame to the Geist Fafnir Layer, 8' Disc and Absorb Driver combination, and a Saint Dragon Ver. recolour of the same toyline build reached Japan on September 22nd, 2018. In the anime it follows on from Drain Fafnir 8 Nothing and hands off to Mirage Fafnir Nothing 2S, and it was the inspiration behind Fumiya Kindo's own Wizard Fafnir Ratchet Rise Sen.

Geist Fafnir is a Stamina Type, Left Spin Energy Layer with a triangular perimeter, three dragon heads marked 'F', and metal interspersed between the heads. Like predecessor Drain Fafnir, its 'F' marks are rubber, aiding spin-equalization against right-spin opponents.

Against right-spin opponents the rubber teeth act as a friction hook, equalizing spin and propelling Geist Fafnir faster while cutting recoil (more pronounced than on Drain Fafnir, though weaker against very light opponents); against left-spin opponents the rubber instead brakes, which can burst a weaker opponent but risks self-burst or heavy stamina loss against a tougher one.
