Left-Spin

Tops that spin counter-clockwise carry the left-spin (or reverse rotation) label, the less common direction next to the right-spin standard, and the franchise has consistently paired that direction with dragon-themed flagship tops: Dragoon in the original run, L-Drago in the Metal Saga, Longinus in Burst and a new Dragoon again in the X Series. Several left-spin releases, among them Meteo L-Drago LW105LF and the Fafnir line, were built around spin absorption, pulling energy from a right-spin opponent on contact. Beyblade Burst Rise's Gatinko Layer System went further, locking some left-spin parts like the Fafnir Chip to pair only with other left- or dual-spin Bases, and the X Series marks left-spin tops such as CobaltDragoon with a counter-clockwise arrow on the Gear Chip.
