Biography
Mystel is BEGA's masked acrobat, a free spirit who launches off trees and cliff edges at angles nobody else would try, sending his sea god Poseidon in on fast, unreadable attacks. He first appears nowhere near a tournament, wandering into the White Tigers' mountain village to test Ray, which says most of what there is to say about why he blades; he befriends the team there and comes close to talking Ray into joining BEGA. Blunt, and kind underneath it. His Justice 5 match against Max is unpredictability against patience, and he takes losing with unusual grace, then helps calm Brooklyn's teammates through the final.
Appearance and personality
What They Look Like, and How They Behave
Spiky blonde hair tops Mystel's head above a pair of blue eyes. He's rarely seen without a mask bearing four eye-like markings, worn less out of necessity and more to project a tougher image than his easygoing nature actually suggests.
Mystel carries an air of mystery that others on his team pick up on quickly, paired with a quirky, offbeat streak. He appears able to hover just above the ground, and handles water-based tactics with real skill. Generally easygoing and warm, he can still be blunt, as when he needles the White Tiger X team about being unable to reach fruit from a cliff he scales with ease; even so, he grows friendly with Ray and the group and comes close to talking Ray into switching to BEGA. Thought to be the youngest on his team apart from Ming-Ming, he has a free-spirited, cheerful outlook, and prefers solitude in his downtime, stretching out on a tall rooftop and only rejoining his teammates when a meeting calls for it; he shows a clear fondness for the natural world.

BEGA League / Justice Five
Mystel turns up in China with no warning and quietly makes himself useful around the White Tiger village — catching Mariah's blown-away bandana, helping Gary and Kevin rescue a kitten — before the real reason he's there comes out. He needles the whole team into a grudge match, challenges Lee and Ray together, then tells them about BEGA and lets slip that Tyson has joined; it's enough to send Ray back with him to see for himself. In the Justice 5 he draws with Max, a fight of pure unpredictability against pure patience that leaves neither side with the win BEGA needed. Once the tournament turns toward Boris's endgame, Mystel helps Garland stop Crusher and Ming-Ming from sabotaging Tyson, then stands with the rest of BEGA supporting Brooklyn through the finale.

Claims We Could Not Check
- His name is likely a portmanteau of 'Mist' (linking to his water bit-beast) and 'Mystery'
- His first appearance in China's Bai Hu Zu Village, plus his name, hints at possible Chinese ancestry
