Biography

Jin Ryu, the 'Fearsome White Dragon,' is the deuteragonist of BeyWheelz and Sho Tenma's best friend on Team Estrella, later returning in BeyWarriors: BeyRaiderz. Calm, quiet, and level-headed, he wields the powerful Doom Fire Drago BeyWheel and finishes runner-up to Sho in the BeyWheelz World Championship final. He plays a key role helping Estrella recruit new members, fend off the rival Dominators gang, and ultimately win the climactic Judgement Bey tournament, overcoming a rigged, fire-based stadium against Glen with his new special move, Raging Whirlwind Slash, despite suffering serious burns in the process.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Jin wears his dark blue hair spiky, framing his forehead and tapering down beside his ears like sideburns, above pale skin, gold eyes and thin black eyebrows. A red mark shaped like a wavy line and dot sits on his left cheek. His outfit centres on a light blue scarf and a sleeveless white cloak lined in black that streams from four points, worn over a grey undershirt that shows some skin, with a dark green belt, black fingerless gloves, black trousers, tall dark green boots and blue studded earrings in both ears.

Jin comes across as cool, calm and collected, rarely reacting strongly to anything happening around him, whether in battle or out of it. As the best friend of Sho Tenma, he also stands as the toughest Wheeler Sho has ever gone up against. That quiet, reserved manner sets him apart from the friends and rivals around him, who tend to be far more expressive.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • 'Ryu' (dragon in Japanese) matches his dragon-themed BeyWheel.
  • Considered the BeyWheelz counterpart to Ryuga and the BeyRaiderz counterpart to Sakyo Kurayami, though his warmer personality contrasts with both.
