About This Part
Jog Ball, abbreviated JB, is a Performance Tip Takara Tomy debuted in Japan on January 23, 2010 with the BB-65 Starter Rock Scorpio T125JB. It is roughly the same size as Wide Ball and belongs to the same "Ball" family of tips, but its rounded surface is covered in tiny spikes that shrink its actual contact area with the stadium floor.
In Play
That reduced contact area makes it weaker for Defense than Wide Ball, and the community credits it with only one genuinely strong use, the Left-Spin Destabilizer combination built around L-Drago 100JB.
- Debuted in Japan on January 23, 2010 with the BB-65 Starter Rock Scorpio T125JB.
- Its spiked ball surface is considered a design ancestor of the Burst Series' Needle tip and the X Series' Dot tip.
