About This Part

Neptune is a Balance Type Layer Takara Tomy fielded for the Burst System, debuting in Japan with the B-28 Booster Neptune Armed Zephyr on January 23rd, 2016. Six smooth, wave-shaped blades ring the piece, and the centre carries the face of the Roman sea god the Layer is named for. Most of its mass sits toward the rim, and one tall tooth alongside two medium and one short tooth back up the round, low-recoil shape.

In Play

That round profile deflects attacks and resists Bursting, while the rim-heavy weight distribution and resulting Flywheel Effect once made Neptune a top Stamina/Defense choice, though the arrival of the SwitchStrike and God Layer generation left it too light for serious competition today.

  • Debuted in Japan in the B-28 Booster Neptune Armed Zephyr on January 23rd, 2016.
  • Reissued as prize number 03 in Random Layer Collection Vol. 6.
