Community testing, Nov. 08, 2017 — summarised

The competitive view

Nepstrius, called Neptune in Japan, is a six-bladed Energy Layer with two big, two medium, and two small wave-shaped smooth blades, centered on an image of the Roman sea god Neptune. It debuted as part of the Beyblade combination Nepstrius Armed Zephyr (Neptune Armed Zephyr), a Balance-type Beyblade first sold in Japan in January 2016 and later in the west as part of a dual pack.

Its round, smooth-bladed shape deflects hits for good Defense while its perimeter-heavy weight gives it a strong Flywheel Effect for Stamina, aided on the Takara Tomy release by one tall, two medium, and one short tooth that make it hard to Burst; but newer, heavier layers like Alter Chronus and Galaxy Zeus have since outclassed it for being too light.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Once a top-tier Stamina/Defense Energy Layer, Nepstrius/Neptune now has no competitive usage and is suitable for collection purposes only; the Hasbro version is judged even weaker due to very weak slopes and an extra off-direction blade that adds recoil.
