About This Part
Takara Tomy issued Evil-eye as a Burst System Layer in Japan on December 26th, 2015, through the B-24 booster Evil-eye Wing Needle. A coiled serpent wraps the rim and iris-like moulding fills the centre, together evoking the Mediterranean evil-eye curse and the tail-eating Ouroboros the design is named for. Twelve blades ring the perimeter and could look rough at a glance, but their angle deflects incoming hits rather than absorbing them, while four medium-length teeth hold up under whatever recoil does get through.
In Play
The low-recoil shape and sturdy teeth made Evil-eye a solid Defense choice in its day, though the community still ranked it behind more common Layers like Neptune and Wyvern for its rougher build, and the arrival of the SwitchStrike and God Layer systems has since left it too light to keep pace.
