About This Part

Rock came out of Takara Tomy as a Hybrid Wheel System Fusion Wheel, launching in Japan on March 28, 2009 with the BB-30 Starter Rock Leone 145WB and reaching western shelves in August 2010 through the BB-30 Starter Pack of the same combination. Six broad protrusions with shallow gaps circle its rim, and it overhangs the Spin Track beneath it in the same way the older Leone Metal Wheel did, though less dramatically. It was produced in three separate moulds distinguished by the cylinders cast into the underside: none (31.4 grams), three (32.6 grams) or six (32.7 grams).

In Play

Later Fusion Wheels carry more weight and a less passive shape, leaving the community to view Rock as outclassed for serious Attack use; among its own moulds, the six-cylinder version carries the most Stamina, since the added cylinder weight helps carry momentum around the rim, and more cylinders overall cut down on recoil.
