About This Part

Flow is a Frame Takara Tomy and Hasbro issued for the Burst System, the God Layer System and the SwitchStrike System. It debuted in Japan on July 15, 2017 inside the B-87 Random Booster Vol. 7 Maximum Garuda.8F.Fl, then reached western markets through the SwitchStrike Starter Pack carrying Maximus Garuda G3 8Flow Flugel. Its triangular body has three sloped blades on each side, intended to create Upper Force in Right-Spin use and Down Force in Left-Spin use, but the blades are too small for either effect to matter much. Its rough perimeter falls short of Cross, Star and Glaive for Life-After-Death, and its light weight falls short of Vortex, Meteor and Bump for Attack use.

In Play

The community sees Flow as outclassed on every axis and keeps it strictly as a collection piece.

  • Debuted in Japan on July 15, 2017 with the B-87 Random Booster Vol. 7 Maximum Garuda.8F.Fl.
  • Reached western countries through the SwitchStrike Starter Pack Maximus Garuda G3 8Flow Flugel.

The Competitive View

Flow's rough perimeter gives it worse Life-After-Death than Cross or Glaive, and its lighter weight gives it less attack benefit than Vortex, Meteor or Star, leaving its aerodynamic gimmick with essentially no payoff.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Outclassed by every other Frame in the current metagame; recommended for collection purposes only.
