About This Part
Zone'+Z is the Zone' Driver fitted with a Zone Chip, made by Takara Tomy for the Burst System's Superking Layer System. It debuted in Japan on November 14th, 2020 inside the B-174 Beyblade Limit Break DX Set. The chip enlarges the free-spinning plate around Zone's low-angle sharp cone tip, giving the setup an extra contact patch against the floor that the free spin keeps low-friction, which lifts both stamina and life-after-death; like other Dash Drivers, Zone'+Z also carries a stiffer spring lock for stronger burst resistance.
In Play
Zone'+Z shines in opposite-spin matches and can spin-equalize on a level with Drivers like Bearing' and Bearing Mobius, but the community generally rates it behind the more common Bearing Drift setup; it remains a solid pick for Layers whose teeth are too weak to risk Bearing Drift's burst exposure. Hasbro's plastic Zone Chip is calmer and less prone to self-knockouts than Takara Tomy's heavier metal version, which in turn resists knockouts better and suits light-launched defence against attackers.
- Debuted in Japan on November 14th, 2020 inside B-174 Beyblade Limit Break DX Set.
- The Zone Chip alone was distributed in B-196 Random Booster Vol. 28 with Tempest Achilles Xceed'+Z 1B.
