About This Part

Zeta is a three-mode Driver Takara Tomy built for the Burst System, spanning both the God Layer System and the SwitchStrike System. It debuted in Japan on December 28th, 2017 with the B-100 starter Spriggan Requiem 0 Zeta, and reached western shelves through Hasbro's SwitchStrike starter Spryzen Requiem S3 0 Zeta. A single dial lets a user switch the tip between an Attack setting, a Defense setting and a Stamina setting, each borrowing a shape from an earlier Driver.

In Play

None of the three settings match the Drivers they copy: the squared-off Attack tip cannot hold a banking line and bleeds stamina against the Tornado Ridge, the toothless Defense ball trails behind both Defense and Massive on knock-out resistance, and the Stamina setting is only an unmodified Fusion tip that itself sits below picks like Survive or Atomic; the community treats Zeta overall as outclassed by later switch-tips such as Trans and keeps it mainly for collecting.

  • Debuted in Japan on December 28th, 2017 with the B-100 starter Spriggan Requiem 0 Zeta.
  • Reached western countries through Hasbro's SwitchStrike Starter Pack, Spryzen Requiem S3 0 Zeta.
  • Reissued across several Random Booster and anniversary sets, including CoroCoro and colour-variant exclusives.

The Competitive View

No performance verdict is given; only the three settings' shapes and their closest single-purpose tip equivalents (Quake, Massive, Fusion) are noted.
