About This Part

Yielding is a Stamina-type Driver from Takara Tomy, built for the Burst System and the Dual Layer System. It debuted in Japan on July 16th, 2016, inside the B-49 Random Booster Vol. 3 featuring Yaeger Yggdrasil. The tip is a cone shaped from PolyOxyMethylene thermoplastic rather than ordinary plastic, marked with a stylized "Y," and the low-friction plastic is what drives its stamina gain against the stadium floor. That same low friction lowers its knock-out resistance and stability, made worse by an acute cone angle similar to Big Wide Defense, though wearing the tip down over time can improve stability at the cost of taking a while to do so.

In Play

The community values Yielding for stamina and balance combinations thanks to its high burst resistance, but rates it behind Revolve for outright stamina, so it counts as a welcome addition rather than a must-have.

  • Debuted in Japan inside the B-49 Random Booster Vol. 3, Yaeger Yggdrasil Gravity Yielding, on July 16th, 2016.
  • A QuadDrive variant, Yielding-Q, followed in January 2022.
  • Hasbro's planned Yugen Yegdrion Y2 Gravity Yielding, shown on the back of the King Kerbeus and Yugen Yegdrion Dual Pack packaging under Survive's TS01 part code, was cancelled and replaced with Survive before release; Yielding has never shipped under the Hasbro brand.
