About This Part
Yard Metal is a Defense-type Driver from Takara Tomy, built for the Burst System and the Gatinko Layer System. It debuted in Japan on January 25th, 2020, inside the B-157 Booster featuring Bigbang Genesis. It carries the same free-rotating ball tip as the original Yard, but swaps in a metal ball that cuts friction against the stadium floor. That lower friction actually works against its Defense classification, reducing rather than raising its knock-out resistance.
In Play
- Debuted in Japan inside the B-157 Booster, Bigbang Genesis 0 Yard Metal, on January 25th, 2020.
- Yard Metal is the second ball-tip remake to swap in a metal ball, after Orbit Metal.
