About This Part
Xtend+ is a Balance-type Driver built for the Burst System and the Cho-Z Layer System, released jointly by Takara Tomy and Hasbro. The separate Xtend Chip needed to complete it appeared in Japan inside the B-123 Long BeyLauncher Set on September 22nd, 2018, while the full driver followed with the B-150 Booster, Union Achilles Convert Xtend+ Retsu, on September 21st, 2019; Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack later brought it to western shelves. Rather than the manual height-change of its predecessor Xtend, Xtend+ mounts the adjustable Xtend Chip tip at a fixed height with three switchable modes: a wide hollow flat Attack setting, a stepped-cone Defense setting, and a low-angle cone Stamina setting. All three modes share a low, wide base that gives the driver strong life-after-death potential comparable to Eternal, Atomic and Bearing.
In Play
The Stamina mode is the strongest of the three, and although the Attack and Defense modes are outclassed by closer equivalents, the community still values Xtend+ as a stamina piece, though its taller successor High Xtend+' has taken over where scrape risk against Dynamite Battle Layers matters.
