About This Part

Volcanic' is the Dash Driver revision of Volcanic, made by Takara Tomy for the Burst System's Cho-Z Layer System. It debuted in Japan on November 17th, 2018 inside the B-128 Cho-Z Customize Set. It keeps the same tilting, free-spinning textured plate as the original — a scaled-down Hold sitting at a slightly taller-than-usual height — and adds a thicker locking spring for extra burst resistance.

In Play

It plays out the same as the standard Volcanic: fast and reasonably controllable thanks to its smaller plate and grippy texture, decent in spin-equalization builds for the precession and life-after-death it grants, but capped by that same smaller plate and extra height that keeps it from reaching an opponent's rubber. It still trails Hold on attack, spin-equalization and life-after-death while beating it on stamina and control, and both fall well short of Destroy, so even with its sturdier spring the community keeps Volcanic' for the collection rather than the stadium.
