About This Part

Unite is a Driver made by Takara Tomy for the Burst System's Dual Layer System, first sold in Japan on April 2nd, 2016 inside the B-35 Starter, Storm Spriggan Knuckle Unite. Hasbro later carried it west in the Epic Rivals Battle Set. It pairs a flat rubber pad with a sharp plastic point set into its centre, sitting at a normal driver height, so a straight launch keeps the beyblade steady and holds onto its stamina. Once it gets knocked off balance or comes in at an angle, the rubber grips the stadium floor and produces bursts of speed close to what Xtreme manages, though the centre point can just as easily stall that motion in the middle of the dish.

In Play

A worn copy trades that burst of speed for braking power against knockouts, at some cost to stamina, before drifting back to centre on its point. Its attack is too unpredictable and its defensive stamina too thin for top-tier status, but the community still rates it as capable enough to trade blows with Xtreme-based attackers, making it a solid pickup rather than an essential one.

  • Released in Japan on April 2nd, 2016 with the B-35 Starter, Storm Spriggan Knuckle Unite.
  • Carried into western markets through Hasbro's Epic Rivals Battle Set.

The Competitive View

Unite gives versatile but inconsistent aggressive movement when knocked, and shifts to knockout-resistant braking behavior once worn, at the cost of stamina in both states.

Verdict as the draft gives it: Not top-tier but versatile enough to be a welcome addition; used in the defense combo Wyvron/Neptrius/Doomscizor D2 Heavy/Gravity Unite and the balance combo Valtryek Heavy/Gravity Unite.
