About This Part

Trans is the dash-driver continuation of the two-setting Stamina/Attack driver, carried by Takara Tomy into the Gatinko Layer System with the same twist-to-switch mechanism and embossed "T" marking. Its Stamina mode still exposes a small, easily unbalanced cone tip that lags free-spinning tips like Eternal, and its Attack mode still swaps in a Zephyr-like flat tip whose rim tabs prevent it from catching the Tornado Ridge; as a dash driver it also gains a stiffer spring lock for extra burst resistance. It debuted in Japan on October 19th, 2019 with the B-151 Random Booster Vol. 17, and reached the west through Hasbro's Pro Series Starter Pack pairing it with Tact Lúinor.

In Play

It appears in the same attack and balance combinations as the original Trans, Sieg Xcalibur 0/1/2/4/5/7 Cross/Glaive/Star Trans and Twin Nemesis (Upper Mode) 0/2/4/5/7 Cross/Glaive/Star Trans, and while it remains outclassed in stamina under standard and limited tournament formats, its ability to switch modes without disassembly makes the community rate it a must-have under classic-format rules, where its four possible strategies — mobile attack, stationary attack, mobile stamina, and stationary stamina — can be swapped freely mid-tournament.
